While many people and restaurants now use tea bags, I prefer my Turkish tea made the old-fashioned way, with loose tea. 

The usual two-piece Turkish tea pot allows for the loose tea to brew in a pot over another with boiling water. The teapot is kept on the heat so the tea served is always hot. The water on the top pot is replenished as it runs low. The little tea cups require frequent filling but they have no taste from the cup itself or that of a tea bag.  As authentic as it gets..
